Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 6:56 pm

There are a few ways to add DNS records to HostGator.

1. Go to HostGator’s cPanel and look for the “DNS” section.

2. If you are using a HostGator account that you have created yourself, you can enter your DNS information into the “HostGator DNS” section.

3. If you are using a HostGator account that you have obtained through a reseller, you can contact that reseller and ask them to add your DNS information for you.

4. You can also add your DNS information using the HostGator control panel.

To add DNS records using the HostGator control panel:

1. Go to the “Control Panel” menu on the HostGator home page and select “DNS”. On the “DNS” page, you will see a list of all of the DNS records that are currently set up on your HostGator account. You can add or change any of the DNS records that are listed on this page. When you are finished adding or changing the DNS records, click the “Save Changes” button.

5. You will now be returned to the “DNS” page.

6. You can now test your updated DNS records by visiting the HostGator website and entering the correct DNS address into the “Host Name” field.

7. If everything is working correctly, you will see a “Your DNS Address is:” message in the “Status” column next to the “Host Name” field.

8. If you are using a HostGator account that you have created yourself, you can now click the “Log In” button to access your HostGator account.

9. If you are using a HostGator account that you have obtained through a reseller, you can now contact that reseller and ask them to log in to the HostGator control panel.

10. Congratulations! You have successfully added DNS records to your HostGator account.

Now that you have added DNS records to your HostGator account, make sure that you are using the correct DNS address when you are visiting the HostGator website.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with DNS records or HostGator’s interface, we recommend that you contact HostGator’s support team for assistance. Adding DNS records incorrectly can result in downtime for your website or email.

If you are using the HostGator control panel, you can also check the “Status” column next to the “Host Name” field to see if the DNS records have been added correctly.

If everything is working correctly, you should now be able to access your HostGator account and start hosting your website with ease.
