How Do I Add Facebook Pixel to Shopify?

Last updated on January 11, 2023 @ 6:32 pm

If you’re running a Shopify store, you can use Facebook Pixel to track visitor behavior and conversions. Pixel allows you to segment your audience based on specific actions they take on your site, and then Target them with ads that encourage them to come back and buy.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of adding Facebook Pixel to your Shopify store.

Adding Facebook Pixel to Shopify is a two-step process. First, you need to create a Pixel in your Facebook Ads account. Second, you need to add the Pixel code to your Shopify store.

Creating a Pixel in Facebook Ads is simple. Just log in to your account and click on the “Create a Pixel” button in the Pixels tab.

Once you’ve created your Pixel, copy the code that Facebook provides and paste it into the code editor in your Shopify admin.

Be sure to paste the code into the <head> section of your theme.html file. If you’re not sure where this is, just look for a line of code that looks like this:

<head>..</head>
PRO TIP: The following note is a warning for anyone considering adding Facebook Pixel to their Shopify store.

Before taking this step, please be aware that Facebook Pixel is a piece of code that allows Facebook to track the actions people take on your website. This includes things like adding items to their cart, starting the checkout process, and completing a purchase.

While this data can be helpful in understanding how people interact with your store, it can also be used to target ads at individuals based on their behavior. As such, you should carefully consider whether or not you want to allow Facebook this level of access to your customers' data before proceeding.

Once you've added the code, click "Save" and you're done! Your Facebook Pixel will now be tracking visitor behavior on your site.

There are a few things to keep in mind when using Facebook Pixel:

* Make sure that your pixel is installed on all pages of your site, not just the checkout page.

* If you have a lot of traffic coming from mobile devices, make sure that the pixel is installed correctly on your mobile site as well.

* Keep an eye on your data over time to make sure that everything is working as it should be. If you see any sudden changes or discrepancies, reach out to Facebook for help troubleshooting.
