How do I add material design icons in Figma?

If you’re using Figma for your next project and you want to add Material Design icons, there are a couple of ways to go about it. The first way is to use the built-in icon library. This library has a ton of Material Design icons, and you can search for specific icons that you need. The second way is to create your own icon library. This is a bit more challenging, but can be more fun. To create your own icon library, you first need to create a folder called “Icons” in your project directory. Within this folder, you’ll then need to create a file called “Material.icns”. This file will contain all of the Material Design icons that you need. Next, you’ll need to add the Material.icns file to your project’s dependencies.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to use material design icons in your Figma project, be aware that there is no built-in support for these icons. You will need to use a third-party plugin or resource to add these icons to your project.

This can be done by going to the project’s dependencies tab, and clicking on the “Manage Dependencies” button. Then, you’ll need to select the “Material.icns” file from the list of dependencies. Finally, you’ll need to click on the “Install” button. Once the file has been installed, you can use it in your projects by adding it to the project’s asset folder. To use it in your projects, you first need to add the “material-components” folder to your project’s root folder. Next, you’ll need to add the “material.css” and “material.js” files to your project’s assets. Finally, you can use the icons in your projects by referencing them from within the CSS or JS files.
