How Do I Add Payment Methods on Shopify?

Last updated on January 11, 2023 @ 10:21 am

There are a few different ways that you can add payment methods to your Shopify store. The first way is to use a Shopify-supported gateway.

You can find a list of all the supported gateways here. If you’re using Shopify Payments, then you can also add manual payment methods (like bank deposits or cash on delivery) from the Payment methods page in your Shopify admin.

The second way to add payment methods to your store is to use a third-party gateway. Third-party gateways are not supported by Shopify, but you can find a list of popular ones here. Once you’ve signed up for a third-party gateway, you’ll need to enter your gateway’s API credentials into your Shopify admin.

To add a new payment method:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
  2. Under “Accept credit cards”, click Manage providers.
  3. Click Add provider.
  4. Choose a gateway from the drop-down menu.
  5. Enter the required information for your gateway.
  6. Click Activate.

Conclusion

In conclusion, there are two main ways that you can add payment methods to your Shopify store – using a Shopify-supported gateway or using a third-party gateway.
