How Do I Change the Owner of a Squarespace Site?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:32 am

There are a few reasons you might want to change the owner of your Squarespace site. Maybe you’re selling the site to someone else, or maybe you’re just giving it to a friend or family member.

Whatever the reason, changing the owner of a Squarespace site is a pretty easy process. Here’s how to do it:

Log into your Squarespace account and go to the Settings panel.

PRO TIP: Changing the owner of a Squarespace site can be a complicated process. If you’re not careful, you could end up losing access to your site or losing important data. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully and backup your data before changing the owner.

In the Settings panel, click on the “Billing & Account” option.

Scroll down to the “Site Ownership” section and click on the “Change Owner” button.

Enter the email address of the new owner and click on the “Confirm” button.

The new owner will now receive an email with instructions on how to log into their new Squarespace account. And that’s it! You’ve successfully changed the owner of your Squarespace site.
