How Do I Change the Preview in Figma?

If you’re wondering how to change the preview in Figma, you’re in luck. There are a few different ways you can do this, and we’ll walk you through each one.

First, let’s take a look at the different types of previews that are available in Figma. By default, Figma will show you a live preview of your design as you’re working on it. This is great for getting a feel for how your design will look and function, but it can be a bit slow if you’re working on a large or complex design.

If you want to speed things up, you can switch to a static preview. This will show you a screenshot of your design, and it will update automatically as you make changes.Static previews are much faster than live previews, but they don’t give you quite as much feedback about how your design will look and feel.

There’s also an option to preview your design on a device. This is great if you want to see how your design will look on a specific device, or if you want to test out the responsive design. To preview your design on a device, just click the “Preview” button in the top bar and select the device that you want to use.

Finally, if you want to get an even closer look at your design, you can switch to the pixel grid view. This will show you your design at actual size, so you can see how it looks when it’s rendered on the screen. To switch to the pixel grid view, just click the “View” button in the top bar and select “Pixel Grid.”

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, changing the preview in Figma can result in losing your work. Make sure to save your work before changing the preview, and be careful when selecting the options in the Preview menu.

So those are the different types of previews that are available in Figma. Now let’s take a look at how to change between them.

By default, Figma will show you a live preview of your design. If you want to switch to a static preview, just click the “Preview” button in the top bar and select “Static.”

If you want to preview your design on a device, just click the “Preview” button in the top bar and select the device that you want to use.

Finally, if you want to switch to the pixel grid view, just click the “View” button in the top bar and select “Pixel Grid.”

That’s all there is to changing the preview in Figma! Just remember that each type of preview has its own strengths and weaknesses, so choose the one that’s right for what you’re working on.
