How Do I Change the Prototype View in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 11:56 pm

There are a few different ways that you can change the prototype view in Figma. To do this, first click on the “Prototype” tab in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Then, you can either click on the “View” drop-down menu and select “Change prototype view,” or you can click on the “Edit” button next to the name of your prototype.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to change the Prototype View. Doing so could cause unexpected results.

Once you’ve done either of those things, a new window will pop up with a number of different options for how you want to change your prototype view. You can choose to show or hide certain elements, change the opacity of elements, or even change the background color. Once you’ve made your changes, simply click on the “Save” button and they will be applied to your prototype view.

One thing to keep in mind is that changes made to the prototype view will only be applied to that particular view. So if you want to make changes that will be seen in all views, you’ll need to make those changes in the main project file.
