How Do I Clean Up a Dirty Photo in Photoshop?

Dirty photos are a pain to deal with. But with the right tools, you can clean them up in no time! Here’s how:

1. Start by opening the photo in Photoshop. You’ll need to use the software to remove the dirt and grime from the image. If you don’t have Photoshop, you can try using GIMP, which is a free alternative.

2. Next, create a new layer. This will be your “working layer” where you make all of your changes. That way, if you make a mistake, you can simply delete the layer and start over.

3. Use the Clone Stamp tool. The Clone Stamp tool allows you to clone (or copy) pixels from one area of an image and paste them over another area.

This is perfect for getting rid of dirt and scratches. Simply select an area of clean pixels, then click and drag over the dirty area. The clean pixels will cover up the dirt!

4. Use the Healing Brush tool. The Healing Brush tool works similarly to the Clone Stamp tool, but it also blends in the cloned pixels so that they look more natural. This is great for fixing smaller imperfections like wrinkles or blemishes.

5. Use the Spot Healing Brush tool. The Spot Healing Brush tool is similar to the Healing Brush tool, but it’s even easier to use. Simply click on the area you want to fix, and Photoshop will automatically select clean pixels from nearby to cover up the problem area.

Now that you know how to clean up a dirty photo in Photoshop, put your skills to the test!

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or if you are not comfortable using Photoshop to edit your photos, we do not recommend that you use this tutorial. This tutorial is meant for experienced users of Photoshop who are comfortable using the software to clean up their photos.
