How Do I Copy an Image in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:05 am

There are a few different ways to copy an image in Figma. The first way is to simply select the image and press Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd+C (macOS).

This will copy the image to your clipboard. You can then paste the image into another program or document by pressing Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (macOS).

PRO TIP: If you are unsure about how to copy an image in Figma, it is best to ask for help from a more experienced user or look up a tutorial. Copying images incorrectly can result in lost data or corrupted files.

Another way to copy an image in Figma is to use the “Copy as” feature. To do this, select the image and then click on the “Edit” menu at the top of the screen.

From the Edit menu, select “Copy as” and then choose the format that you want to copy the image in. For example, you can choose to copy the image as a PNG, JPEG, or SVG file.

Once you have copied the image, you can paste it into another program or document just like you would with any other image file.
