How Do I Crop an Object in Photoshop?

There are a few ways to crop an object in Photoshop. The first way is to use the Crop Tool.

To do this, select the Crop Tool from the Tools palette, then click and drag around the object you want to crop. When you release the mouse button, the object will be cropped.

PRO TIP: If you are using Photoshop to crop an object, be sure to use the Crop tool and not the Eraser tool. The Eraser tool will permanently delete pixels from your image and can irreversibly damage your file.

If you want to be more precise with your cropping, you can use the Marquee Tool. To do this, select the Marquee Tool from the Tools palette, then click and drag around the object you want to crop.

Once you’ve selected the area you want to crop, go to Image > Crop. This will crop the object to the exact size and shape you’ve selected.

The last way to crop an object is to use a layer mask. To do this, create a new layer mask by going to Layer > New > Layer Mask.

Then, using a black or white brush, paint over the area of the image you want to keep or remove. If you paint with black, you’ll remove that area of the image; if you paint with white, you’ll keep it.
