Creating a custom shape in Photoshop is a two-step process. First, create a basic outline of the shape you want to cut out.

This outline will help you to determine the exact position of the cutout in the document. Second, use the tools in Photoshop to cut out the shape.

To create an outline in Photoshop, first use the Rectangle tool to create a square or rectangular outline of the object you want to cut out. Next, use the Eraser tool to erase any unwanted portions of the outline.

PRO TIP: Cutting out an object in Photoshop may result in the object being cut out of the image completely.

Finally, use the Pen tool to draw a line around the outline to create the final custom shape.

To cut out an object in Photoshop, first use the Select tool to select the area you want to cut out. Next, use the Selection tool to outline the area with a border.

Finally, use the Cut tool to cut out the selected area.
