How do I deploy react node app to DigitalOcean?

React is a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces. It is a lightweight and fast library that can be used on the frontend or the backend.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to deploy a react node app to DigitalOcean:

1. First, you will need to create a DigitalOcean account and create a Droplet. Droplets come with a default Ubuntu 16.04 LTS installation. After you have created your Droplet, you can login to it using the following command:

  • ssh root@droplet-name

2. Next, you will need to install the DigitalOcean CLI. You can install the CLI by running the following command in the Droplet’s terminal.

  • sudo apt-get install git

3. Once the CLI is installed, you can use it to create a new project. To create a new project, you can use the following command:

  • cd ~git clone https://github.com/DigitalOcean/DigitalOcean-cli.git

4. Next, you will need to install the react node package. To do this, you can use the following command in the Droplet’s terminal.

PRO TIP: This article is for those who want to deploy a React Node app to DigitalOcean. There are two ways to do this: using the command line or using the DigitalOcean Control Panel. We will cover both methods.

If you are using the command line, you will need to use a terminal and SSH into your Droplet. Once you are logged in, you will need to clone your repository and install dependencies. After your dependencies are installed, you can run your React Node app on port 3000 with the following command:

If you are using the DigitalOcean Control Panel, you can follow the steps in this article to set up your Droplet and deploy your app.

  • npm install –save react

5. After the react node package is installed, you can use the DigitalOcean CLI to create a new react node app. To do this, you can use the following command.

  • cd ~/DigitalOcean-clicreate-react-app my-react-app

6. After the react node app is created, you can use the following command to deploy it to the Droplet:

  • git push origin my-react-app

7. The deploy command will deploy the app to the Droplet. If everything goes according to plan, you should see the following message when the deploy command is completed.

8. Your app is now running on droplet-name. To visit it, open http://droplet-name:3000 in your browser.

Congratulations! Your react node app is now running on DigitalOcean.
