How Do I Disable Coupons in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:25 pm

If you’re using WooCommerce to sell products or services online, chances are you’re using coupons to offer discounts to your customers. But what if you want to disable coupons entirely?

Maybe you’re not offering any discounts at the moment, or maybe you want to make sure that customers can’t accidentally apply a coupon code and get a discount they’re not supposed to get. Whatever the reason, here’s how to disable coupons in WooCommerce.

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to sell products or services online, you may want to disable coupons for a variety of reasons. For example, you may want to disable coupons if you are running a promotion that does not require them, or if you want to ensure that customers are only able to apply one coupon per order. Whatever your reason for wanting to disable coupons, it is important to note that doing so can have some unintended consequences. For example, disabling coupons may cause your shopping cart to malfunction, or it may prevent customers from being able to checkout using certain payment methods. Therefore, it is important to carefully consider whether or not disabling coupons is the right decision for your WooCommerce store before taking any action.

First, log in to your WordPress site and go to the WooCommerce->Settings page. On the Settings page, click the “Checkout” tab.

On the Checkout tab, there’s a section called “Coupons.” In that section, there’s a checkbox labeled “Enable coupons.” Uncheck that box and click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

That’s all there is to it! Once you’ve disabled coupons, customers will no longer be able to enter coupon codes at checkout. If you ever want to re-enable coupons, just follow the same steps and check the “Enable coupons” box instead.
