How Do I Embed Audio in Figma?

Figma is a great design tool that allows you to create beautiful designs for your websites and applications. But what if you want to add audio to your Figma designs?

Luckily, there are a few different ways that you can embed audio in Figma. In this article, we’ll show you how to embed audio in Figma using the built-in audio player, as well as how to use an external audio player like SoundCloud.

Embedding audio in Figma is a great way to add interactivity to your designs. By adding audio, you can add another layer of depth and engagement for your users.

So let’s get started!

There are two different ways that you can add audio to your Figma designs: the built-in audio player and an external audio player.

The built-in audio player is a simple way to add basic audio playback to your designs. To use the built-in audio player, simply select the “Audio” element from the left panel and drag it into your design. Then, click on the “Upload Audio” button and select the MP3 file that you want to use.

PRO TIP: We’re currently investigating an issue with audio playback in Figma. In the meantime, we recommend using an alternative method for playback, such as opening the file in a new browser tab.

Once the MP3 file is uploaded, you’ll see a preview of the waveform and you can adjust the volume levels. You can also choose whether or not the audio will start playing automatically when the design is loaded.

If you want more control over the playback of your audio, or if you want to use features like looping or streaming, then you’ll need to use an external audio player.

SoundCloud is a great option for adding advanced audio playback to your Figma designs. To use SoundCloud, simply create a new “Embed” element from the left panel and paste in the URL of your SoundCloud track.

You’ll then see a preview of the track in your design. Just like with the built-in player, you can adjust the volume levels and choose whether or not the track will play automatically when the design is loaded.

You can also click on the “More Options” button to adjust other settings like looping and streaming.

That’s all there is to it! By following these steps, you can easily add audio to your Figma designs using either the built-in player or an external player like SoundCloud.
