How do I export my Joomla site?

There are a few ways to export your Joomla site. You can export your site as a compressed file, which you can then import into a new Joomla site.

Alternatively, you can export your site as a JSON file, which you can then use to import into a new Joomla site. The final option is to export your site as a HTML file, which you can then use to create a new website.

PRO TIP: When exporting your Joomla site, be sure to only export the files and databases you need. Exporting too much data can cause your Joomla site to crash.

To export your site as a compressed file, first click the Export button on the Site Manager. On the Export Page, select the Compressed File format from the drop-down menu. Next, specify a filename for the compressed file and click Save. To export your site as a JSON file, first click the Export button on the Site Manager. On the Export Page, select the JSON File format from the drop-down menu.

Next, specify a filename for the JSON file and click Save. To export your site as a HTML file, first click the Export button on the Site Manager. On the Export Page, select the HTML File format from the drop-down menu. Next, specify a filename for the HTML file and click Save.

When you export your site, Joomla will create a compressed file, a JSON file, and an HTML file. You can then import the files into a new Joomla site.
