How do I find my Linode IP address?

If you don’t know your Linode IP address, you can find it by doing the following:

1. Log into your Linode account.

2. In the main menu, click System > Settings.

3. In the Settings page, click Network.

4. On the Network page, under Select your network, click IPv4.

5. Under IPv4 configuration, click the Ping button.

6. In the Ping window, type the following address into the Hostname field and press Enter: Linode-ip.com

7. In the Results window, click the IP Address field and copy the IP address that is displayed.

8. To return to the Network page, click the Close button.

9. To return to the Settings page, click the Close button.

10. To return to the main menu, click the Home button.

PRO TIP: If you are unsure of your Linode IP address, you can use the “ip” command to find it. Just type “ip a” into your terminal and press enter. Your Linode IP address will be the first entry under the “inet” section.
