Images are a key part of any design, whether you’re creating a blog post, social media graphic, or even a presentation. But how do you make sure your images look great in Canva? Here are some tips:

1. Resize your image

The first step is to resize your image. Canva’s interface works best with images that are at least 800px wide. To resize your image, click on it and a white box will appear around it. Then, click on the “Edit” button in the top-left corner of the image box.

A pop-up window will appear with options to change the size of your image. Make sure the “Constrain Proportions” checkbox is selected, then enter 800 in the width field and Canva will automatically adjust the height of your image. Once you’re happy with the size, click “Apply” and then “Done.”

2. Crop your image

The next step is to crop your image so it fits perfectly into your design. To crop an image in Canva, first click on it to select it.

A pop-up window will appear with options to crop your image. You can either manually crop your image by dragging the cropping tool around the desired area, or you can select one of the preset cropping options from the drop-down menu. Once you’re happy with the crop, click “Apply” and then “Done.”

3. Add text to your image

If you want to add text to your image, Canva makes it easy to do so! To add text, first select the “Text” tab from the main menu at the top of the screen.

Then, click on the “Add Heading + Subheading” or “Add Paragraph” button to add a text box to your design. You can then type in whatever text you want and format it using the options in the top toolbar. Once you’re happy with your text, click “Apply” and then “Done.”
