If you’ve been working with Photoshop for awhile, you know there are a ton of ways to change the color of an object. And, one of those ways is to use the “Blend” options.

But, what do you do when the colors you want to use don’t seem to be working together? Well, here’s a quick tip on how to fix that.

The first thing you’ll want to do is open up your “Layer Styles” window. You can do this by going to Window > Layer Style. Once you have that open, go ahead and click on the “Color Overlay” option.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or if you are not comfortable working with colors, it is best to avoid using the “Blend Colors” tool. This tool can easily change the colors in your image, and if you are not careful, you can end up with an image that looks very different from what you intended.

Next, you’ll want to make sure that your “Blend Mode” is set to “Color”. You can find this option just below the “Color” option in your “Layer Styles” window. Now that you have that set, go ahead and choose the color you want to use from the color picker.

And that’s it! By following these simple steps, you’ll be able to quickly and easily change the color of an object in Photoshop.

So there you have it! A quick and easy way to change the color of an object in Photoshop using the “Blend” options.
