If you’re a Windows user, the process for force quitting Photoshop is relatively simple. Just press Ctrl+Alt+Delete on your keyboard and then click on the Photoshop application in the list of programs that appears. This will force Photoshop to quit.

If you’re a Mac user, the process is a little different. You’ll need to press Command+Option+Escape.

This will bring up the Force Quit Applications window. From here, select Photoshop from the list of applications and click the Force Quit button.

PRO TIP: If you are having problems quitting Photoshop, you may force quit the application. However, this should only be done as a last resort as it may lead to data loss.

There are times when Photoshop may become unresponsive or frozen and you’ll be unable to force quit it using either of these methods. In this case, you’ll need to restart your computer. This will kill all processes, including Photoshop, and allow you to start fresh.
