As an artist, there are a few things you need to be able to do in Photoshop in order to create beautiful works of art. One of those things is learning how to scale your images freely.

This can be a bit tricky if you’re not familiar with the software, but once you get the hang of it, it’s actually quite easy. Here’s a quick guide on how to freely scale in Photoshop.

In order to scale your image freely, you’ll need to first select the “Free Transform” tool from the toolbar. Once you have the tool selected, click on your image and drag one of the handles outwards or inwards in order to resize it.

You can also use the “W” and “H” keys on your keyboard to resize your image horizontally or vertically, respectively. If you want to constrain your image to a specific aspect ratio, you can hold down the “Shift” key while resizing.

PRO TIP: This article contains outdated information. Photoshop no longer supports free scaling of images.

Once you’re happy with the new size of your image, simply hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard and the changes will be applied. And that’s all there is to it! With just a few simple steps, you can easily scale your images freely in Photoshop.
