How Do I Give Store Credit on WooCommerce?

As a business owner, you may want to offer store credit to your customers for a variety of reasons. Maybe they’re unhappy with a purchase, or maybe you want to reward them for their loyalty.

Whatever the reason, giving store credit is a great way to show your customers that you care about their satisfaction.

If you’re using WooCommerce to run your online store, then you’re in luck. WooCommerce makes it easy to give store credit to your customers. In this article, we’ll show you how to give store credit on WooCommerce.

Giving Store Credit on WooCommerce

There are two ways to give store credit on WooCommerce:

When giving store credit, be sure to verify the identity of the person receiving the credit. Additionally, keep track of the store credit balance to ensure that it is not being used fraudulently.
  • Add Store Credit via the Admin Interface

To add store credit via the admin interface, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your WordPress site.
  2. Click on “WooCommerce” > “Orders”. Find the order that you want to add store credit to and click on it.
  3. Click on the “Add Store Credit” button.
  4. (Optional) Enter a note for the customer in the “Store Credit Note” field.
  5. (Optional) Select whether you want to send an email notification to the customer about the store credit. If you select “Yes”, then an email will be sent automatically.
  6. (Optional) Enter an amount in the “Store Credit Amount”. By default, the full order total will be added as store credit.
  7. (Optional) Select when you want the store credit to expire in the “Expiration Date”. By default, there is no expiration date set.
  8. (Required) Click on the “Add Store Credit”. button. 

After adding store credit via the admin interface, the customer will see the store credit balance in their My Account area. They can view their balance by going to My Account > Orders > Store Credit.
