GIFs have become a popular way to communicate online, and you may find yourself wanting to use one in a Photoshop project. You can import a GIF into Photoshop by following these steps:

1. Open Photoshop and create a new file. 2. Go to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers. 3. In the Import Video Frames to Layers dialog box, navigate to the location of the GIF file on your computer and select it.

4. Click Open. 5. In the Convert Video Frames to Layers dialog box, make sure the correct settings are selected and click OK.
6. The GIF will now be imported into Photoshop as individual layers.

You can then edit the GIF in Photoshop just like any other image file. When you’re finished, go to File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy) to save the GIF for use on the web.

PRO TIP: When importing a GIF into Photoshop, be sure to take note of the file size and compatibility of the GIF. If the GIF is too large, it may not import correctly and may cause problems with your Photoshop file. Also, be sure to check the compatibility of the GIF with your version of Photoshop.

Conclusion: You can import a GIF into Photoshop by following these steps: going to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers, navigating to the location of the GIF file on your computer and selecting it, clicking Open, and then clicking OK in the Convert Video Frames to Layers dialog box. The GIF will now be imported into Photoshop as individual layers which you can edit just like any other image file. When you’re finished, go to File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy) to save the GIF for use on the web
