How Do I Import a Google Map Into Figma?

If you’re a fan of Google Maps, you can now import your favorite map into Figma!

In the past, if you wanted to use a Google Map in your design, you had to take a screenshot or use a static image. Now, with Figma’s new Google Maps importer, you can bring in an interactive map that can be panned and zoomed. Plus, you can also add your own annotations!

PRO TIP: When importing a Google Map into Figma, be sure to select the correct map size and zoom level. Otherwise, your map may not display correctly or may not be able to be edited.

To import a Google Map into Figma:

  • Open the file in Figma that you want to add the map to
  • Click on the “Import” button in the toolbar
  • Click on “Google Maps”
  • Enter the address or coordinates of the location you want to import
  • Click on the “Import” button

Your map will now be imported as an image.

You can now style your map however you like! To pan and zoom, simply click and drag on the map. To add annotations, click on the “A” icon in the toolbar.
