How do I install Figma plugins?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:41 pm

Installing plugins for Figma can be done in a few different ways. The most common way is to use the plugin manager, which is located in the preferences menu of the application.

If you don’t want to use the plugin manager, you can also install the plugins manually by downloading the plugin files and placing them in the Plugins folder of your Figma application.

Once you have installed the plugins, you can start using them by going to the plugins menu and selecting the plugin you want to use. The plugin will then load and you can start working with it.

PRO TIP: Warning: Figma plugins are not currently available for installation. This feature is currently in development and will be released soon. In the meantime, we recommend using our Figma plugin template to create your own plugins.

The most common way to use a plugin is to add it to a project. To do this, open the project you want to add the plugin to and select the plugins menu.

Then, select the plugin you want to add and click the Add To Project button.

If you want to use a plugin in an existing project, you can copy the plugin file to the project folder and then use the same steps to add it.
