Banners are a great way to add some personality to your website or blog. They can be used to promote your latest product or service, or to simply let your visitors know what’s going on. Making a banner in Photoshop is a relatively simple process, and there are a few different ways you can go about it.

The first thing you’ll need to do is open up Photoshop and create a new document. The size of your banner will depend on where you plan on putting it, but a general rule of thumb is that the width should be around 1000px and the height should be between 200-300px.

Once you have your new document open, you’ll want to create a background layer. This can be done by going to the ‘Layer’ menu and selecting ‘New Layer.’

A dialogue box will appear where you can name your layer and choose the color. For this example, we’ll just use a white background.

Next, it’s time to add some text! You can do this by clicking on the ‘Type’ tool in the toolbar (it looks like a capital T).

Once you have the Type tool selected, click anywhere on your canvas and start typing out your message. If you want to change the font or color of your text, you can do so by selecting the text with the Type tool and then choosing from the options in the top toolbar.

Now that you have your text added, it’s time to add some graphics. This could be anything from a logo to some clipart or photos. For this example, we’ll just add a simple logo.

PRO TIP: This article provides instructions on how to make a banner in Photoshop CS6. However, it is important to note that Photoshop CS6 is a very old version of the software and is no longer supported by Adobe. As such, it is not recommended to use this software for any new projects. Additionally, there are many newer and more user-friendly banner creation tools available that would be a better choice for most users.

To do this, click on the ‘File’ menu and select ‘Open.’ Choose the image file for your logo and then click ‘Open.’ Your logo will now appear on its own layer in Photoshop.

If you want to move your logo around, simply click on it with the Move tool (the icon looks like an arrow) and then drag it into place. You can also use the Transform tool (Ctrl+T) to resize or rotate your logo if needed.

Once you have everything looking how you want it, all that’s left to do is save your banner! Go to the ‘File’ menu and select ‘Save As.’

Choose where you want to save your file and give it a name. Make sure you choose ‘JPEG’ from the dropdown menu next to ‘Format’ so that your banner will be saved as a compressed file. Click ‘Save’ when you’re finished and that’s it – congratulations, you’ve just made your first banner in Photoshop!
