Business cards are an important part of any business. If you want to create a card that will really stand out, you’ll need to design it using a template.

There are many free and paid templates available online, and you can also create your own using Illustrator.

To create a business card template in Illustrator, first create a new document in the program. You can use any size you like, but make sure the dimensions are 300 x 300 pixels.

Next, select the Rectangular Marquee tool from the Tools panel and draw a rectangle on the bottom left corner of your document. Copy and paste the text from your business card template onto the text box in the Marquee, and then change the font to a more legible font.

To create the card’s title, click on the text box in the Marquee and select the Type Tool. Type “Business Card” and then press Return to save the change.

To create the card’s contact information, click on the text box in the Marquee and select the Text Tool. Type the name of the person you’re addressing the card to and then press Return to save the change.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Illustrator, or do not have a strong understanding of design principles, creating a business card template in Illustrator can be challenging. You may end up with a design that is not professional looking, or does not accurately represent your brand.

Next, add a photo to your card. Click on the image placeholder in the Marquee and select the Image Tool.

Navigate to your photo file and select it. Click on the Copy button to copy the image to the clipboard.

To add the photo to the card, click on the photo placeholder in the Marquee and select the Image Tool. Click on the Paste button to paste the photo into the card.

To finish the card, add a border around the outside of the rectangle you created in step 1. Select the Rectangular Marquee tool and draw a rectangle around the outside of the original rectangle.

Change the color of the border to a lighter color, and then press Return to save the change.

Your completed business card template in Illustrator looks like the image below.
