How Do I Make an Image Transparent in Figma?

In order to make an image transparent in Figma, you’ll need to use the Opacity slider in the inspector. You can find this by selecting the image, and then looking for the Opacity slider under the “Appearance” section.

Opacity is measured in terms of percentages, with 100% being completely opaque and 0% being completely transparent. So, if you want to make an image 50% transparent, you would set the Opacity slider to 50%.

PRO TIP: When creating an image in Figma, be aware that you can make the image transparent by using the “Opacity” tool. This tool can be found in the “Tools” menu. If you make an image too transparent, it may be difficult to see.

It’s also worth noting that you can make an image partially transparent by using the Fill color picker. This can be found under the “Fill” section of the inspector. Simply click on the color picker and then adjust the transparency using the Opacity slider.

Once you’ve made your changes, simply click on the “Apply” button and your image will be updated.
