How Do I Make Text Vertical in Figma?

Last updated on November 26, 2022 @ 12:37 pm

There are a few different ways to make text vertical in Figma. You can use the Text tool to create vertical text, or you can use the Line tool to create a vertical line of text.

To create vertical text with the Text tool, simply click and drag to create a text box. Then, click the “Text” dropdown in the upper-left corner of the interface and select “Vertical.” This will make all of the text in your text box vertical.

To create a vertical line of text with the Line tool, click and drag to create a line. Then, click the “Line” dropdown in the upper-left corner of the interface and select “Vertical.” This will make your line of text vertical.

Once you have created your vertical text, you can style it using the < p >,< b >, and < u > tags. Simply select the text you want to style and then click the appropriate tag in the toolbar above your canvas.

The < p > tag will add a paragraph break after your text, while the < b > tag will make your text bold. The < u > tag will underline your text.

You can also use CSS to style your vertical text. To do this, simply select the element you want to style and click the “CSS” button in the toolbar above your canvas. Then, add your CSS code in the pop-up window that appears.

That’s all there is to styling vertical text in Figma!

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, making text vertical in Figma can result in your text being cut off or not appearing correctly. Make sure to check your text before you publish your design!
