How Do I Move Content in Figma?

There are a few different ways that you can move content in Figma. You can either use the “Arrange” tool to move objects around, or you can use the “Align” tool to align objects to each other.

If you want to move an object to a specific spot on the canvas, you can use the “Arrange” tool. To do this, select the object you want to move, then click on the “Arrange” tool in the toolbar. From here, you can use the arrow keys to nudge the object around, or you can click on one of the options in the “Arrange” menu to move the object to a specific spot.

If you want to align two or more objects to each other, you can use the “Align” tool. To do this, select the objects you want to align, then click on the “Align” tool in the toolbar.

From here, you can choose how you want to align the objects from the options in the “Align” menu. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts listed next to each option to quickly align the objects.

You can also use both of these tools together to create more complex layouts. For example, you could use the “Arrange” tool to position an object in the middle of two other objects, then use the “Align” tool to center it between them. Or, you could use the “Arrange” tool to put an object at the top of a stack of objects, then use the “Align” tool to align it with the left edge of the stack.

The best way to learn how these tools work is to experiment with them and see what results you get. So go ahead and try moving some content around in Figma!

PRO TIP: This article is about moving content in Figma and how to do it. Moving content in Figma can be done by clicking and dragging the object you want to move, or by using the arrow keys on your keyboard. You can also use the align tool to align objects. When moving objects, be sure to hold down the Shift key so that they snap into place.
