How Do I Remove an Owner From a Squarespace Site?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:25 am

There are a few reasons you might want to remove an owner from your Squarespace site. Maybe they’re no longer involved with the site, or you need to change ownership for legal reasons. Whatever the reason, removing an owner from your site is a pretty simple process.

To remove an owner from your site, first log in and go to Settings. Then, click on the Billing & Accounts tab.

From there, you’ll see a list of all the owners on your site. To remove an owner, simply click the X next to their name.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to remove the owner. Once you do, they’ll be removed from your site and will no longer have access to it. Keep in mind that you can only remove owners who have been added by another owner – you can’t remove yourself.

PRO TIP: If you are not the site owner, you will need to contact the site owner to have them remove you as an owner.

Conclusion

Removing an owner from your Squarespace site is a quick and easy process. Just log in, go to Settings, and click on the Billing & Accounts tab. To remove an owner, simply click the X next to their name.
