If you’re looking to render 4k video in Photoshop, there are a few things you’ll need to do in order to make sure the process goes smoothly. First, you’ll need to create a new composition by going to File > New > Composition.

In the dialogue box that pops up, you’ll need to select the ‘Settings’ tab and change the width and height to 4096×2160. Once you’ve done that, click ‘OK’.

Now that you have your composition set up, you’ll need to import your video footage. To do this, go to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers.

PRO TIP: 4k video can be very demanding on your computer’s resources. Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements for 4k video before trying to render it in Photoshop. Otherwise, you may experience slow performance or crashes.

In the dialogue box that appears, navigate to where your video footage is saved and select it. Once you’ve done that, click ‘Open’.

Your video footage will now appear as separate layers in your composition. You can rearrange them if you want by clicking and dragging them around. Once you’re happy with how they’re arranged, it’s time to start rendering.

To do this, go to File > Export > Render Video. In the dialogue box that appears, select your desired format from the ‘Format’ drop-down menu and choose where you want the file to be saved. Then, click ‘Render’.

And that’s it! Rendering 4k video in Photoshop is a pretty simple process once you know what you’re doing. Just make sure you have a powerful computer so that rendering doesn’t take too long.
