If you’re interested in moving your domain from Squarespace to Webflow, there are a few things you’ll need to do. First, you’ll need to export your Squarespace site. You can do this by going to Settings > Advanced > Export/Import. From there, you’ll need to select “Export” and then “Export Site.” Once your site has been exported, you’ll need to create a new site on Webflow. To do this, simply click on the “Create a Site” button on the Webflow home page. Once your new site has been created, you’ll need to import your Squarespace site into it. To do this, go to Settings > Advanced > Export/Import and select “Import.”

Choose the file you exported from Squarespace and click “Open.” Once your site has been imported, you’ll need to set up your DNS settings. To do this, go to Settings > Domains and click on the “Add Domain” button. Enter your domain name and click “Add Domain.” Once your domain has been added, you’ll need to set up your DNS records. To do this, go to Settings > Domains and click on the DNS tab. Add the following records:

A Record

@ 3600 IN A 104.198.14.52

CNAME Record

www 1800 IN CNAME yourusername.webflow.io

Once you’ve added these records, you should be able to access your site via your domain name.

PRO TIP: If you are considering transferring your domain from Squarespace to Webflow, be aware that there are some potential risks involved.

First, it is important to note that when you transfer a domain, your Squarespace site will no longer be live. This means that any visitors who go to your site will see an error message.

Second, there is a possibility that your email addresses associated with your Squarespace account will no longer work after the transfer. This means that you may not be able to receive or send emails using those addresses.

Third, you may lose access to any content or files that you have stored on Squarespace. This includes any images or documents that you have uploaded to your site.

Finally, it is important to remember that once you transfer your domain to Webflow, you will not be able to use Squarespace again. This means that if you decide later that you want to switch back to Squarespace, you will need to create a new account and start from scratch.
