How Do I Zoom in in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 11:15 am

Figma is a vector drawing program that is frequently used by web and interface designers. One of its best features is the ability to zoom in on an image without losing any quality. This can be extremely helpful when working with detailed designs.

To zoom in on an image in Figma, simply click on the image with the magnifying glass tool selected. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut ‘z’. You can also zoom out by clicking on the image with the hand tool selected, or using the keyboard shortcut ‘shift + z’.

PRO TIP: If you are zoomed in too far in Figma, you may not be able to see all of your design.

When you are zoomed in, you may find it helpful to use the ‘grid’ or ‘snap to pixels’ options to align your elements. To turn on the grid, go to View > Show Grid. To turn on snap to pixels, go to View > Snap To Pixels.

Zooming in and out is a basic function of any vector drawing program, but Figma makes it extremely easy and user-friendly. Next time you need to work with a detailed design, be sure to give Figma a try!
