How Do You Navigate in Figma?

Figma is a vector drawing and animation software that was released in 2005. It is used by graphic designers, web designers, and Illustrators.

The software has a wide variety of features, including the ability to create layers, add colors, and use gradients. Figma also has a built-in file converter that can export files to SVG, PNG, JPG, and other formats.

Figma’s user interface is clean and easy to use. The main toolbar is located at the top of the screen and contains all of the tools you need to create your design.

PRO TIP: Figma is a powerful design tool, but it can be tricky to navigate if you’re not familiar with the interface. Here are some quick tips to help you get around:

1. The left sidebar is your main navigation panel. Here you can access your project files, libraries, and settings.

2. The canvas is where you’ll do most of your design work. Use the various tools in the top toolbar to create and edit shapes, text, and other elements.

3. The right sidebar is where you can access layer options, colors, fonts, and other design assets.

4. To zoom in and out of the canvas, use the zoom controls in the bottom toolbar or use your mouse scroll wheel.

5. To pan around the canvas, hold down the spacebar key and click-and-drag your mouse.

The left sidebar contains your project’s file structure, while the right sidebar contains all of the available colors and gradients. To create a new layer, simply click on the “Layer” icon in the toolbar and select the “New Layer” option from the drop-down menu.

When you’re ready to add colors to your design, click on the “Fill” tool in the toolbar and select the color you want to use from the color palette. To use a gradient, click on the “Gradient” tool and then click on two colors from the palette to create your gradient.

To add text to your design, click on the “Text” tool and start typing. You can change the font, size, color, and alignment of your text using the options in the right sidebar.

Once you’re happy with your design, you can export it by clicking on the “File” menu and selecting “Export.” Figma also allows you to share your designs with others by clicking on the “Share” button in the top toolbar. This will generate a link that you can send to anyone you want to view or edit your design.
