How Do You Add a Suffix to a Shopify Template?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:55 pm

When you want to add a suffix to a Shopify template, there are two ways that you can do it. The first way is to use the “Edit HTML/CSS” option under the “Settings” tab of your Shopify admin. From there, you can add the desired suffix to the end of the URL in the “Template Suffix” field.

The second way is to add the suffix directly to the end of the URL when you are editing your template code. For example, if you want to add the suffix “?suffix=1” to your template, you would edit your code and add “?suffix=1” at the end of the URL.

PRO TIP: Adding a suffix to a Shopify template can be tricky and may result in errors if not done correctly. Be sure to carefully follow the instructions and backup your template before making any changes.

There are a few different reasons why you might want to add a suffix to your Shopify template. Maybe you want to test out a new design without affecting your live site, or maybe you want to create a separate version of your site for mobile devices.

Whatever the reason, adding a suffix to your Shopify template is a quick and easy way to do it.
