How Do You Add Hotspots in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:18 am

Adding hotspots in Figma is a great way to add interactivity to your designs. Hotspots can be used to link to other pages or to open popup windows.

To add a hotspot, first select the object that you want to link to. Then, click the “Add Hotspot” button in the toolbar.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to add hotspots in Figma. Figma is a powerful design tool that can be overwhelming for beginners. Adding hotspots to your design can be tricky and may result in a less than ideal experience for your users.

In the hotspot editor, you can specify the URL that you want the hotspot to link to. You can also choose whether you want the hotspot to open in a new window.

Once you have added the hotspot, you can test it by clicking on the “Preview” button in the toolbar. This will open your design in a new window, and you can click on the hotspot to test it.

When you’re happy with your hotspot, you can publish your design so that others can interact with it.
