PRO TIP: This article provides instructions on how to animate in Photoshop CC, but it is important to be aware that this process can be complex and time-consuming. If you are not familiar with animation software, it is recommended that you seek professional help before attempting to create your own animations.

Photoshop CC is a powerful tool for creating animations. You can use it to create simple animations, like a bouncing ball, or more complex ones, like a character walking across a scene. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a simple bouncing ball animation using Photoshop CC.

To create the animation, we’ll first need to create a series of images, or ‘frames’, that show the ball at different stages of its bounce. We’ll start by creating the first frame, which shows the ball at the top of its bounce.

1. Create a new Photoshop document and draw a circle in the center of the canvas. This will be our ball.

2. With the ball layer selected, go to the ‘Timeline’ panel (Window > Timeline). Click on the ‘Create Frame Animation’ button to create a new frame animation.

3. In the ‘Timeline’ panel, select ‘Draw Frames’. This will allow us to draw each frame of the animation individually.

4. On the first frame of the animation, move the ball down slightly so that it appears to be falling.

5. On the second frame of the animation, move the ball down further and add a slight ‘bounce’ by moving it up slightly from where it was in the previous frame.

6. Repeat this process for each subsequent frame, moving the ball down and adding a bounce until it reaches the bottom of its bounce and comes to rest.

7. Once you have all of your frames drawn, select ‘Loop Forever’ from the ‘Animation Options’ menu in the ‘Timeline’ panel so that your animation will play continuously.

8. To preview your animation, click on the ‘Play’ button in the ‘Timeline’ panel.

9. To save your animation, go to File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy) and choose an animated GIF format from the drop-down menu.

The process of animating in Photoshop CC is relatively simple once you get used to it. By creating a series of images, or ‘frames’, and then looping them together using Photoshop’s Timeline feature, you can create animations that range from simple bouncing balls to more complex character movements.

Using Photoshop CC to animate provides you with many benefits such as:

-The ability to fine-tune every aspect of your animation

-A wide variety of export options for different devices and platforms

-The ability to create animations for both web and print projects
