How do you apply a gradient in Illustrator?

Gradients are a great way to add depth and interest to your illustrations. To apply a gradient in Illustrator, first create a new gradient.

You can do this by selecting the Gradient tool from the toolbar, or by clicking the gradient icon in the Toolbar toolbar.

PRO TIP: When applying a gradient in Illustrator, it is important to take care not to apply too much pressure. Applying too much pressure can cause the gradient to become distorted.

Next, select the start point of the gradient and drag it to the end point. You can also use the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+End) to move the gradient end point.

To change the color of the gradient, select the gradient shape and click on the color swatch in the Toolbar toolbar. You can also use the options in the Gradient Editor dialog box.
