How do you blur something in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 8:10 pm

Blurring is a popular technique used in Photoshop to soften or smooth out objects or edges. There are a few ways to blur an object in Photoshop:

1. Use the Gaussian Blur filter.

This filter smooths out the edges of your object by averaging out the pixels around the object.

2. Use the Motion Blur filter.

This filter creates a blurry effect by moving the pixels around the object.

3. Use the Iris Blur filter.

This filter creates a blurry effect by changing the color of the pixels around the object.

4. Use the Distort filter.

This filter randomly alters the shape of the pixels around the object.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that blurring in Photoshop can be a tricky business. If you’re not careful, you can end up with a very blurry image that is difficult to fix.

5. Use the Noise filter.

This filter adds random fluctuations to the pixels around the object.

6. Use the Drop Shadow filter.

This filter adds a shadow behind the object.

7. Use the Glow filter.

This filter adds a light effect around the object.

8. Use the Warp filter.

This filter changes the shape of the object.
