How do you create an interaction in InVision?

InVision is a popular design platform that allows users to create and share interactive designs. Interaction in InVision can be created using a number of different methods, including Buttons, AR/VR, and Symbols.

Buttons

Buttons are one of the simplest ways to create an interaction in InVision. A button can be created by selecting the Button option from the toolbar, and then adding a box and a label.

The box can be filled with any type of content, and the label can be used to specify the action that the button will take.

To create a button that will toggle a label between two values, for example, you would first create two labels and place them next to each other inside the button box. Then, you would create a toggle button by selecting the Toggle button option from the toolbar, and filling in the required information.

The toggle button will have two labels, one that will be toggled between the two values, and the other that will be the default value.

When you click on the toggle button, the label that is toggled between the two values will be displayed.

AR/VR

AR/VR interactions can be created in InVision by selecting the AR/VR option from the toolbar, and then adding a VR headset and a controller. Once you have added the VR headset and controller, you can start adding the content that you want to appear in the VR environment.

PRO TIP: InVision is a design tool that allows you to create interactive prototypes of your designs. However, it is important to note that InVision is not a coding tool, and therefore you cannot create actual interactions within InVision itself. If you want to create interactive prototypes, you will need to use a tool like Axure or Justinmind.

To create an interaction that will allow the user to select a file from their computer, for example, you would first add a File input element to the scene. Then, you would add an AR marker to the scene, and add a label that will be used to specify the file that the user should select.

When the user clicks on the AR marker, the file will be loaded into the VR headset and the label will be displayed in front of the VR headset.

Symbols

Symbols are another type of interaction that can be used in InVision. Symbols can be used to represent different types of content, and they can be activated by clicking on them.

To create a symbol, you first need to add a symbol element to the scene. Then, you will need to add the content that you want to be displayed as a symbol.

To create an interaction that will allow the user to select a symbol, you would first add a Select symbol button to the scene. Then, you would add a label that will be used to specify the symbol that the user should select.

When the user clicks on the Select symbol button, the symbol that is specified by the label will be displayed in the scene.
