Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 5:42 pm

When it comes to design, a free line is key to creating a sense of movement and energy in your composition. But how do you draw a free line in Canva?

First, you’ll need to select the Pencil tool from the left toolbar. Then, click and drag your mouse to draw a line. To make your line more free-flowing, try using a light touch and varying the pressure on your mouse as you go.

PRO TIP: Canva is a great way to draw free lines, but there are a few things you should know before you start. First, when you draw a line in Canva, it will automatically be straight. If you want to draw a curved line, you’ll need to use the pen tool. Second, the line will always be the same width, so if you want to change the width of your line, you’ll need to use the stroke tool. Finally, when you draw a line in Canva, it will always be black. If you want to change the color of your line, you’ll need to use the fill tool.

Once you’ve drawn your line, you can change its color, thickness, and opacity using the options in the top toolbar. And if you want to erase part of your line, simply select the Eraser tool and click and drag over the area you want to erase.

So go ahead and experiment with different lines until you find the perfect one for your design. With a little practice, you’ll be drawing free lines like a pro!

Drawing a free line in Canva is easy once you know how to use the pencil tool. Simply click and drag your mouse to create a line, then use the options in the top toolbar to customize its color, thickness, and opacity. You can also erase part of your line by selecting the Eraser tool.
