How Do You Fix Fringing in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 3:42 pm

Fixing fringing in Photoshop is a quick and easy process that can be done in just a few steps. First, open the image in Photoshop. Next, go to the “Filter” menu and select “Liquify.” In the Liquify window, select the “Fringe” tool from the left side toolbar.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, fringing can easily ruin your photos. Photoshop does have a tool to fix fringing, but it is best to avoid it in the first place. Be sure to use a high quality lens and avoid shooting in high contrast situations. If you must shoot in high contrast, be sure to use a lens hood to help reduce the chances of fringing.

Then, simply click and drag the fringe tool over the areas of the image that have fringing. The tool will automatically remove the fringes. Finally, click “OK” to close the Liquify window and save your changes.

That’s all there is to it! With just a few simple steps, you can easily remove fringing from your images in Photoshop.
