How Do You Make a Milky Way in Photoshop?

In this tutorial, we will show you how to create a Milky Way in Photoshop. We will be using the following tools and techniques:

    • Gradient Tool
    • Blending Modes
    • Layer Masks
    • Adjustment Layers
    • Brush Tool

Creating a realistic Milky Way can be tricky, but with some patience and the right tools, it can be done! Let’s get started. The first thing we need to do is create a new document. For this tutorial, we will be using a document size of 1680x1050px.

Once you have your document created, grab the Gradient Tool from the Tools palette. Then, create a black to transparent gradient from the top of your document to the bottom. Next, change the layer’s Blending Mode to Screen. Your document should now look something like this:
