Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:15 am

When it comes to digital art, there are a few key things you need in order to create a masterpiece: a great idea, some skill with the software you’re using, and a bit of creativity. But once you have those things down, it’s time to start thinking about textures.

Textures are what give your artwork depth and interest, and they can be created in a number of ways. If you’re looking to add a silk texture to your work, Photoshop is a great place to start. With its wide range of tools and features, Photoshop is perfect for creating all kinds of textures – including silk.

So, how do you make a silk texture in Photoshop? Let’s take a look:

1. Start with a New Layer

The first step is to create a new layer in your Photoshop document. You can do this by clicking on the ‘New Layer’ icon at the bottom of the ‘Layers’ panel.

PRO TIP: This tutorial shows you how to make a silk texture in Photoshop. However, it is important to note that this technique should only be used for personal use and not for commercial purposes.

2. Select the Brush Tool

Once you have a new layer, select the ‘Brush Tool’ from the toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen. If you can’t see the toolbar, press the ‘F5’ key on your keyboard.

3. Choose a Soft Round Brush

Now that you have the brush tool selected, it’s time to choose which brush you want to use. For this texture, we recommend using a soft round brush. You can find this brush under the ‘Brushes’ menu at the top of the screen (it should be the second option down).
