How Do You Make Dynamic Components in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:39 am

In Figma, dynamic components are created by first selecting the assets that you want to use as dynamic components. Once you have selected the assets, click on the “Create Component” button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

When the “Create Component” dialog box appears, give your component a name and then click on the “Create” button.

Once your component has been created, you can then add it to your design by clicking on the “Add to Library” button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

PRO TIP: When creating dynamic components in Figma, be aware that any changes made to the master component will be propagated to all instances of that component. This can lead to unexpected results if you are not careful. Make sure to test your changes thoroughly before sharing them with others.

Once your component has been added to your library, you can then use it in any of your designs by clicking on the “Use as Component” button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

If you want to edit your component, you can do so by clicking on the “Edit Component” button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

If you want to delete your component, you can do so by clicking on the “Delete Component” button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
