In Photoshop, there are a couple different ways that you can go about reversing text. One way is to use the Character Palette. With your text layer selected, go to Window > Character. In the Character Palette, click on the “Advanced” tab and then check the “Right To Left Reading” box. This will reverse the text.

Another way to reverse text in Photoshop is to use the Paragraph Palette.

With your text layer selected, go to Window > Paragraph. In the Paragraph Palette, click on the “Flip” button.

PRO TIP: If you reverse text backwards in Photoshop, the text may become difficult to read.

You can also reverse text by entering it into a Text Box backwards. To do this, create a new Text Box by going to the Type tool and clicking where you want the text box to start. Type your text backwards into the Text Box. Once you have entered all of your text, go to Type > Text Options and check the “Right To Left Reading” box.

Reversing text can be useful for creating special effects or for making sure that your text is legible in certain languages.

Reverse reading options are available in both character and paragraph options within Photoshop’s type tools window panes. Reversing characters or paragraphs of type is as easy as checking a box; however, if you’re looking for more of challenge—or want more control over character reversal—you can enter type backwards into a new type layer using Photoshop’s type tool.

No matter how you choose to reverse type in Photoshop, remember that this effect works best with large font sizes for maximum readability.
