How do you Texturize in Illustrator?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:36 pm

Texturizing in Illustrator is a great way to add depth and texture to your designs. There are a few different ways to do it, but the most common is to use the Blur tool. To use the Blur tool, first select the area you want to blur. Next, use the Radius slider to control the amount of blur. You can also use the Opacity slider to control the amount of transparency the blur has. Once you’ve blurred the area, you can use the Texturize tool to add more texture.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that the process of texturizing in Illustrator can be time-consuming and may not produce the desired results. Make sure to save your work frequently and backup your files in case you need to start over.

To do this, first select the Texturize tool, and then use the Mode selector to choose the Add Texturize Mode. The two options you’ll have are Add Noise and Add Edge. With Add Noise, you can add random noise to the area. With Add Edge, you can add a border around the area to add more texture. Once you’ve selected the mode, use the Amount slider to control the amount of texture added. You can also use the Radius and Opacity sliders to control the amount of texture in the area.
