Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, developed by Figma, Inc. It is available on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Figma is used by designers at companies like Google, Facebook, Netflix, Uber, and more.

Figma has a number of features that make it a great choice for design work, including the ability to create hotspots. Hotspots are areas of an image that you can click on to trigger an action, such as opening a link. They can be useful for making designs more interactive and engaging.

To create a hotspot in Figma, first select the area you want to make clickable. Then, in the Properties panel on the right-hand side of the screen, click on the “hotspot” icon. This will open the Hotspot settings panel.

PRO TIP: If you are working in Figma and need to turn off hotspots, be aware that this will also turn off your ability to see any other hotspots that have been placed on your design. This could lead to confusion and frustration, so be sure to save your work before turning off hotspots.

In the Hotspot settings panel, you can choose what action you want to happen when the hotspot is clicked. The options are “None”, “Link to URL”, “Open File”, or “Run JavaScript”.

If you choose “Link to URL”, you can then enter the URL you want to link to in the “URL” field. If you choose “Open File”, you can select the file you want to open from your computer. And if you choose “Run JavaScript”, you can enter the JavaScript code you want to run in the “JavaScript” field.

Once you’ve chosen an action and entered any necessary information, click on the “OK” button to save your changes. Now when you click on the hotspot in your design, the chosen action will happen.

How Do You Turn Off Hotspots in Figma? To turn off hotspots in Figma, simply select the area that is currently a hotspot and then click on the “hotspot” icon in the Properties panel on the right-hand side of the screen.

This will open up the Hotspot settings panel. In this panel, simply change the action from whatever it is currently set to (“None”, “Link to URL”, “Open File”, or “Run JavaScript”) back to “None”. Click on the “OK” button to save your changes and close the panel.
