If you’re new to HTML and coding, the process of adding a header to your Wix website can be a bit confusing. The good news is that once you understand the basics of HTML, it’s not difficult to add a header to your Wix website. In this article, we’ll show you how to add a header to your Wix website.

The first thing you need to do is open the Wix Editor. To do this, simply log into your Wix account and click on the “Edit” button in the top-left corner of the screen.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

Once the Wix Editor opens, you’ll see a blank page with a few different options in the top-left corner. Click on the “Add” button and then select “Header” from the drop-down menu.

A pop-up window will appear asking you to choose a header type. For this example, we’ll choose the “H1” header type. Once you’ve selected your header type, click on the “OK” button.

You’ll now see a text box appear on your page. This is where you can add your header text. Simply type in your header text and then hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

Now that you’ve added your header text, it’s time to style it using HTML tags. For this example, we’ll use the <p>, <b>, and <u> tags.

To make your header text bold, simply surround it with the <b> tag like this: <b>Your Header Text</b>.

To make your header text italicized, simply surround it with the <i> tag like this: <i>Your Header Text</i>.

To underline your header text, simply surround it with the <u> tag like this: <u>Your Header Text</u>.

And that’s all there is to adding a header to your Wix website! By following these simple steps, you can add a header to your website in no time at all.

PRO TIP: If you are using Wix to create a website, be aware that the header may not be visible on all pages. This is because Wix uses a responsive design, which means that the header will resize itself to fit the screen size of the device that is being used to view the website. If you want to ensure that your header is always visible, you can use the desktop version of Wix.
