Why Does WooCommerce Email Go to Spam?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:46 pm

WooCommerce is a great eCommerce platform, but sometimes its emails end up in recipients’ spam folders. Why does this happen, and what can you do about it?

There are a few reasons why your WooCommerce emails might be going to spam. One reason is that your server’s IP address may be on a blacklist.

PRO TIP: If you use WooCommerce to sell products or services online, you may have noticed that some of your WooCommerce emails are going to spam. There are a few reasons why this may happen, and there are a few things you can do to fix it.

First, check to see if your WooCommerce email settings are configured correctly. If they are not, your emails may be going to spam. Second, make sure you are using a reputable email service provider. If you are using a free or low-quality email service provider, your emails may be more likely to go to spam. Finally, avoid using blacklisted keywords in your WooCommerce emails. If you use any of the following keywords in your WooCommerce emails, they may be more likely to go to spam:

“Free”, “Buy now”, “Click here”, “Limited time offer”, and “act now”.

This can happen if you’re using a shared hosting plan and another user on the same plan has been sending spam. If your IP address is on a blacklist, it’s likely that all of the emails coming from your server will be marked as spam, even if they’re not.

Another reason for WooCommerce emails going to spam is that the email content itself may trigger spam filters. This can happen if you’re using too many links in your email, or if you’re using certain keywords that are often associated with spam. To avoid this, make sure that your email content is relevant and useful to your recipients, and avoid using too many links or keywords that could trigger spam filters.

If you’re not sure why your WooCommerce emails are going to spam, contact your hosting provider or email service provider for help. They may be able to provide more information about why your emails are being marked as spam and how you can resolve the issue.
